Wait! Stop scrolling for a moment!! You probably just saw Intro to Inversions and automatically thought, I could never do an upside-down yoga pose, right? Most people assume inversions are only for expert “yogis” or for a fancy social media picture. Did you know there are many different types of inversions and several easy poses that can help you build up to them? Did you also know that inversions have many incredible health benefits and are not just done for a cool picture? Inversions help to remove toxins from our bodies while energizing and improving circulation. In my video this week, Intro to Inversions, I show you some beginner-friendly poses that will help you build up to doing inversions in no time. Let’s jump into it!
This Intro to Inversions sequence is approximately 20 minutes long and can be done at any time of day.
- Yoga mat
This Intro to Inversions yoga sequence is beginner-friendly and great for anyone who wishes to add inversions to their yoga practice.
- Silence your phone. The whole idea is to disconnect completely for a few minutes.
- Grab your yoga mat and props if needed.
- Find a quiet space to set up. Preferably away from distractions and use the same spot each time for practice.
Once you have completed the sequence, we encourage you to sit silently for a few moments.
