Yoga classes

19784116991_4b0390ce8b_zIn all of our yoga classes, we emphasize precise alignment, breathing patterns and how to build better body awareness. We break down the poses, explaining how to enter, hold, progress and exit them safely,  as well as explain their main benefits. We specialize in precise, clear instructions where you can be guaranteed a better understanding of yoga. If you have an injury or condition that needs attention – just let us know and we will guide you to the best option possible. Our studio is kept at a steady 70 or 72 degrees throughout the year. We teach hatha and vinyasa yoga. Although we welcome you to any class, we offer a levels distinction to help you choose the practice most suitable for you. If you are unsure what level you are, let us know, and we can help.

BEGINNERS YOGA: Suitable if you have never done yoga, if it’s been a long time, or if you are pregnant. We have a six week beginners course that will set a strong foundation for your practice. This course will build your strength and flexibility, relieve lower back and neck issues, and leave you feeling energized and refreshed. Suitable for all ages and backgrounds. Sign up today!

LEVEL 1: Suitable for people who have completed our beginners course. Gentle pace. Fundamentals explained and practiced. Practice gets more challenging than the beginners course, as we begin to explore more poses and start sun salutations.

LEVEL 2: Suitable for people who know the basics, but want to go a little further. Have a basic understanding of the most frequented poses and then some. Building up practice, strength, flexibility and discipline. Start of Vinyasa or flow.

LEVEL 3: Intermediate. Focusing on inversions, arm balances and backbends. Always learning.

PRANAYAMA: The yogic art of breathing class. This class covers the essential breathing techniques and practices. Helps increase oxygen intake and circulation, and calms the mind and nerves. Not suitable for beginners. At least six months consistent yoga practice necessary to be eligible for the class, as well as having  knowledge of inversions. The class is practiced seated.

YOGA FOR PREGNANCY: For women who are expecting a bundle of joy. To help open and stabilize the hips, strengthen the back and legs, reduce swelling, improve circulation and induce a sense of well-being for mother & child. If you do not see a regularly scheduled class on the schedule, please reach out to us. We have many pregnant women practicing in our other classes. We modify and adapt your practice depending on the needs of the trimester.

KIDS YOGA: (8 to 12 years) To help kids understand the link between the body & mind, improve posture, increase flexibility, and strengthen muscles & joints. Improves breathing, endurance and builds immunity.

PRIVATES: Unable to make it to a group class? Schedule a one-on-one session. These are extremely popular with people who have hectic schedules, travel and other commitments but want to begin or continue yoga. The easiest way to set this up to email or call us.

*If you cannot make it to the time indicated on the schedule, please give us a call. We would be happy to work out other options for you.
