“Why I am Not a Yogi” published on Seattle Yoga News

by Arundhati Baitmangalkar

In the West, we have made yoga our own. We have glorified it from the East, and have embedded our own meaning into it. In honor of yoga as a respected discipline of study, and a truly holistic way of life, we work to educate it’s true nature so that all can benefit from it’s practice.

Have you ever been called a ‘yogi’?

Have you wondered what it means to be a true ‘yogi’?

Do you hear this term tossed around the yoga community as much as we do?

Arundhati’s writes about why she does not consider, or call herself, a ‘yogi’, and delves into what the true meaning of the term is. Read more here, as published on Seattle Yoga News in November of 2016.
